Green-leaf has passed now, and each Clan has thrived with more prey and more kits. However, as the colder weather draws in, the peace between the Clans is stretching thin. Several cats from each Clan have been getting careless and are crossing the borders and hunting without permission, too used to the plentiful prey they'd once had.
Angered, each leader starts accusing another. Tensions are running high, and each Clan is preparing for war. Suddenly, multiple fires start, each charring parts of Clan territories except for ThunderClan's and RiverClan's. The threat of war halts as Clan recover, but there is high suspicion.
How did these fires start at nearly the same time and in such frosty weather? Are the two Clans to blame? Or are there new forces at work?
