Drew walked to the stables with a grey tank top, and a blue pladded button up shirt with shades of green in it as well. Around her neck was a shark tooth hanging on it. Also dark blue jeans faded on the jeans. On her feet where knee high black boots that where used for ridding horses. Her hair was down slightly past her shoulder slightly curled in loops. But with a Bobby pin that held her bangs out of her face.
Walking into the barn Drew looked around. It was warm in here. Warmer then it was outside. It also smelled like horse, but Drew didn't mind that at all. Oddly. Walking past the stalls of horses Drew looked inside each looking for the horse she rode most of the time. It was a large chestnut horse that was had a white blaze on her nose. Also, she had two white socks. On her front left hoof, and on her right hind hoof.
Finally reaching the horses stall. It read on a gold plate EGYPT. That was the name of the horse that was in the stall. Looking inside Drew saw the chestnut horse her head down and eyes closed, resting on three hooves, the other was slightly lifted but still touching the ground.

Lily walked into the barn, dressed in darkish blue jeans, a button down green and blue plaid shirt, and dark brown boots. She had silver stud earrings, and an eagle on a chain around her neck. Her blond hair was down around her shoulders, smooth and brushed. Her blues were sparkling, and clear.
Lily loved horses, and spent a lot of her time in here. It was a little warm, and smelly, but she didn't mind. Grabbing an apple from a sack, she walked over to her horse's stall. It wasn't officaly her's, but she was the only one who rode him. Other people liked him too, but they all understood what he meant to Lily, and only rode him everyone once in a while. On a sliver brass plate on the door, was the name Lightning. He was a pure black horse, with a white star on his forehead. Lily loved him, and rode him most of the time. "Hey boy." She said with a smile, feeding him the apple. He ate it quickly, and Lily grabbed a brush, and began cleaning his coat. He nickered, and Lily stratched him behind the ears. "I'll ride you soon."She promised, and closed the stall door.
She went to the next horse. Her name was Saphira, and she was Lily's next favorite. She was a dark brown, with flecks of white covering her coat. "Hey Saphira." She fed her an apple, and also brushed her coat. Saphira whinied with pleasure, and Lily laughed. Finishing up, Lily then noticed Drew at Egyt's stall. She was a nice horse, but Lily rarely rode her. "Hey Dre-" She started to say, then noticed Egypt holding up her foot a little. Lily wasn't by any means an expert with horses, but she knew a bit. "Oh no. It looks like she's hurt. Come on Drew, we need to check her out." Lily opened the stall door, and slipped inside.

Drew slightly jumped as she heard. She knew that most horses slept like that. Drew didn't know why but they did, and they slept standing up. But Drew knew why they did that. So Drew wasn't completely worried but would make sure that nothing was wrong. If something was wrong, Drew didn't even want to think about it.
Then Drew opened the stall door slowly. Egypt blinked open her eyes lifting her head looking at Drew. Egypt then stood up shifting her weight back onto all four of her feet. Then pawed at the ground winnieing shaking her head. Ya she was just fine. Drew smiled Egypt was kinda of a handful and was a little hard to control at times.
Stepping out for a second Drew grabbed the halter that was hanging on the door. It was blue and white twisted together. Then grabbed the halter that was by it. This was a teal color that had Egypts name on a silver plate on it. Picking it up then walked into Egypts stall waiting for her to slightly calm down.
When Egypt finally calmed down Drew slipped the halter over the chestnut horses face. She nipped at Drews hand slightly but reluctantly accepted the halter on her face. Stroking Egypt on the face she knickered slightly.

Lily gave a sigh of relief. "Oh, she's fine. I just don't often see them holding up their leg like that. Usually they have 4 hooves planted firmly on the ground." Lily slipped out of the staff, and went back over to Lightning.
He nickered again, and Lily went into the tack room to grab a saddle and bridle. She found the one she liked hanging on the wall. It was a little old, but it was comfortable, and worked well when she jumped. She grabbed a silver and blue saddle blanket, along with some dark brown reins. She walked back to the Lightning, and slipped back into the stall. She placed the saddle blanket on Lightning, then grabbed the saddle. It was a dark brown, with a swirl design, and she set it on Lightning's back. She began fastning it, making sure everything was tight, and fittied well. Next, she slipped the reins onto Lightning's head, giving him a look when he resisted, and tried to pull away.
She finally got them on, and then opened the stall door. She led Lightning out, then glanced at Drew. "I'll be in the ring if you want to join me Drew." She called, before leading Lightning out of the barn. Reaching the ring, she hopped on Lightning.

Drew nodded, she was used to seeing Egypt like that when she slept. The hooves planted firmly and the other on still touching the ground but lifted a little.
When Lily left Drew attatched the lead rope to Egypts halter tiring it to the bars of the stall door, so that when Drew put on Egypts Saddle and boots, Egypt would stand still for her. After tieing it Drew slipped out of the stall and to the tack room. Opening the door Drew looked around then grabbed a saddle, a bridle, horse boots, and a saddle blanket. Leaving the tack room Drew headed back to the stall setting the stuff she had down. Taking a green boot, Drew walked over to Egypt kneeling down by Egypts front leg attempting putting the boot around it. Egypt pawed tge ground and Drew backed up a little. Then tried again. This time Egypt accepted it reluctantly. Drew then put the rest on the horses legs. She got the saddle blanket and placed it on top of Egypts back. When it was agusted Drew took the saddle and placed it on Egypts back on top of the blanket tightening it around the horses stomac. Untieing the horse Drew took of the Halter and grabbed the bridle putting it on Egypts face agusting the mothbit in tge horses mouth.
Not liking it very much Egypt shook her head. Grabbing the rains leading Egypt out of tge Stall. Egypt pranced in the hall. Walking out to the arena Drew threw herself over onto the saddle. The horse pranced in a circle before Drew finally got her under control.

   Madge walked into the stable. It was hot in here and she felt bad for horses as she walked by seeing sweat stains on their backs from the blazing heat. She decided to roll up the sleeves to her plaid shirt and tucked in the back of her jeans in tighter to her black riding boots. Walking by she slightly smiled to the girls, people knew her as the loner girl at school because she sat alone, walked alone, and was alone. Her hand reached up to her head as she pulled back a curl falling in her face from her usual braid down her back. The black boots clipped and clopped as she walked down the stable, rubbing some familiar horses she has ridden in the past, but her true horse she always would ride now was Strider, the white horse in the middle of the stable. He was known for his speed and intelligence. He has black speckles on his rear end and some on his snout. "Hey boy. Miss me?" She whispered to him as she stroked his neck grabbing a sugar cube with her other hand. Her hand that was stroking him stopped and she held out the other hand with the sugar cube, making sure her hand was flat out so he wouldn't bite her. He gobbled it down. Madge smiled at him patting his neck again then grabbed the bridle. She slipped into his stall and slipped it on, him giving her a snort or two when she would adjust and it would be uncomfortable. "Okay, okay." She finally said ask she tightened it and grabbed his saddle from the back of the stall, just missing a pile of horse- well you know. Stepping over the pile again she set the saddle on his back, putting the heavy blanket on first, then the heavy, leather saddle. Rubbing his head she looked him in the black eyes with her piercing blue ones. Smiling she grabbed the part where you hang on on the bridle and she walked him out of his stall. He was cooperating well until a rope on the ground spooked him because he thought it was a snake. Trying to rear the horse tried to bring up his front legs, but Madge knew better than to let him on the loose so she stood her ground holding on hard on his bridle handle. "No." She said sternly then rubbed his neck as his breathing pace quickened. Madge patted it til he was calm then kept pulling him along, both of their feet clip clopping along to the training arena for the race horses. Lily urged Lightning forward, starting off with a warm-up. She did walking for a minute, then switched to trotting, and finally cantering. She galloped on Lightning some, but she decided just to just stop at cantering for her warm-up. She did one lap around the ring, switching between gaits occaisonally.
Then, she trotted over to the jumps to do some practice. There was a competion coming up in a couple months, and she hoped to enter. She started with the smaller jumps, and Lightning easily leaped over them. She tried the higher ones, and still, she and Lightning did well on them. Finally, she went to the ones they had been trying and trying to get over. The bars were kinda high, and each time they had practiced, Lightning always hit the top bar.
But today, Lily was determined to get over them. She urged Lightning forward, getting up to a canter, the jump in front of them. Lightning shook his head, his mane flying everywhere. "Easy boy." She murmered. They neared the jump and....sailed over it. Lily grinned as they did the jump perfectly. "Good boy Lightning!!" She said, patting his back. Then, she noticed Drew had entered, and she waved. She noticed another girl, someone she didn't recognize. She trotted Lightning over ot her. "Hi! I'm Lily. You here for practice?"

Strider was in a trot and headed towards Lily. Madge gave her a shy smile and replied. "Hi, I'm Madge. And yeah, Strider-" She patted his neck. "- is a really fast horse. What's your horses name?" She asked Lily pointing to her beautiful horse. (sorry short post) |

Drew got Egypt under control and started to start slowly around the ring. She got faster as she went then slower the second time around. Egypt was prancing as they trotted, lifting her legs high. She was an Arabian horse and they tended to do that sometimes. Her head was high as she winnied.
Drew then brought Egypt to the back of a jump. Egypt walked in circles and Drew got her under control, keeping her strait. Then signaled her forward getting from a trot to a canter to a gallop. This jump was medium sized and Egypt was a large horse. She could easily clear it. Reaching the jump Egypt leaped over the jump with little effort. Going to the next jump, this one was slightly larger then the other. Reaching the jump Egypt cleared it easily but was closer to the bars this time.
Drew noticed that there was another girl there. Urging Egypt over to her, Egypt was pracing, of corse. She then trotted over to her. "Hello" Drew said holding Egypt in one place. Next to the girl, that she had never seen before.

"He's beautiful. Looks like quite an animal. And this is Lightning." Lightning nickered in response, and Lily smiled. "He's pretty fast too. I sometimes ride the other horses, but he's my favorite." Lightning shook his head up and down, and started prancing a little. "Woah, easy boy. What's gotten into you?" Lily tightened the reigns, and calmed him down. He let out a little whinny, and pawed the ground. "Lightning, what's wrong?" He held up his hoof a little, and neighed again. Lily slipped off, and looked at the hoof he was holding up. "Oh, I see. You've got a rock stuck. Be right back." She slung the reigns over a railing on the side of the wall, and jogged off towards the stable. Coming back with a pick, she noticed Drew. "Hi Drew." She gently took Lightning's hoof, and pried the rock out. "There we go." Lightning nicked in appreciation, and Lily got back on.
