Burn in Hell---tryouts

My converse made no sound but a soft click at I walked down the hall. My eyes scanned every gold plaque along the wall for the music or band room. As soon as the plaque appeared, I jolted to the right and through the door, letting it slam behind me.

Sucking in air, I let out a low whistle. As many rock instruments I could imagine were in the low-ceiling room. My footsteps lead me to a microphone. I locked my hands around the handle, and I pulled the mic out. My lips skimmed its chain surface, and my eyes slid closed. Words spilled out of my mouth.

The song stopped, my mind reaching a block in my improve. I had to focus. It was time for people to try out for my band: Burn in Hell. My eyes opened and looked down at a red guitar. Hands trembling with excitement, I picked it up and strummed a few notes. Bing, went the last note and the wire broke. The guitar dropped with a clatter. What was wrong with me? I never lost my cool. My eyes darted to the door. I could leave now, and call in sick. I could just cancel the tryouts. No. I had to do this. I had to launch my band.

I picked up the guitar, rubbing my finger along the wire. A small prick, and my flesh was punctured. A trickle of blood fell to the carpet. I stared at it for a moment. I licked my finger. I felt like blacking out or hurling. I could feel vomit burning the back of my throat. Something was off...

(Don't use it all the time, but it's okay for now since we have so few members. We may have younger kids get on, and I don't want them seeing something like that. But don't worry about it. Just keep it in mind for the future)
